Each year the Santa Clara Valley Audubon Society tries to raise all the
money that we need to achieve our goals and our mission. We rely on
donations from hundreds of individuals like you to support local interests
in city council meetings and stakeholder forums, sponsor educational
programs, and finance our recreational events, which foster public
awareness of the importance of Santa Clara County's natural resources.
Often what might seem like a small amount of money to some of us has a huge
impact in our environment and makes a big difference in the quality of life
of the residents of Santa Clara County. For example:
|
allows 32 students in underserved communities access to educational
programs designed to develop stewardship for birds and their habitats,
through the Audubon Adventure Classroom Kit. This is a professionally designed environmental education program for children in grades 3 to 6.
